The pun nobody can resist
Two Google reviewers of Source For Horse couldn't help themselves. “My go to source ( no pun intended ) for all of my products to run my business & take care of my own horses,” one wrote. Another said, “They are the source of all my materials that help me run my business! (pun intended)”
Both run businesses that depend on it. Source For Horse sells to farriers, the people who trim hooves and fit horseshoes, and to serious horse owners, and the family behind it knows both jobs from the inside.

A family that pooled its expertise
“Source for Horse is a family business where we have all pooled our areas of expertise,” the company's about page says. The goal is to supply farriers and high-performance horse owners with “the Best Products – For the Best Price – With the Best Service.”
Ashley Moore announced the launch on her WestMoore Dressage website in December 2020. “I am thrilled to announce the launch of my families business, Source For Horse,” she wrote, describing it as a source for “warehouse-direct farrier supplies, equine nutrition, health care, and grooming products.” She said the aim was to serve “farriers and high-performance horse owners across Canada.”
The first lineup included brands such as Werkman Hoofcare, Kahn Forge and KER Targeted Nutrition, and she promised more products would be added as they arrived.

The farrier and the dressage rider
Taylor Moore, the director of sales, is an AFA Certified Farrier who “loves his job and has a deep respect for his fellow professionals,” according to the company. His aim is the highest quality farrier supplies, sold warehouse-direct. “By cutting out the middleman, he helps farriers keep more money in their pocket each year.”
Ashley Moore brings the horse owner's side. She is a USDF Gold Medalist and FEI Grand Prix rider who owns, rides and trains several high-performance dressage horses and competes internationally. The company says she “has learned first-hand that the health and nutrition of high-performance horses is the difference between success and simply participating.”
James Moore handles accounting, shipping and receiving.

Pick up in person, or have it shipped
Shipping is a big part of the business. One customer quoted on the website needed a horse treatment fast and had it shipped “from Vancouver to Montreal” within days. “That's service!” the customer wrote. Another called it a “family operated company.”
Most customers order online and have supplies shipped across Canada. Local customers can shop in person on weekday mornings and early afternoons at the family's south Langley location.
Reviewers often name the people behind the counter. “Source for Horse has amazing customer service, second to no one!” one wrote, signing off with “Thank you Taylor and Jim!!” Another customer, who orders regularly for a family farrier service, said they're “always helpful when I have to contact them.”

Their own horseshoes
Alongside brands farriers already know, Source For Horse now sells products under its own name, including Source For Horse Concave horseshoes, hoof adhesive, hoof casting, pour-in pad gel and DIM hoof packing.
The website calls the company Canada's largest supplier of farrier products, and promises “No Tariffs, No Hidden or extra fees.” The about page is modest about the range, though. It calls the product list “a work in progress” and says Taylor “encourages input from all farriers on additions and improvements.”
