The Light Crew Langley Homeowners Keep Rehiring

It is October, and if you want your house lit up for the holidays without climbing a ladder, now is the time to start planning. Santa's Little Helpers is based on Fraser Highway in Langley Township, and it holds a 4.9-star rating across 194 Google reviews, with many of those reviewers repeat customers.

The company says it was founded in 2006 by twin brothers and has grown into the largest Christmas light installation provider in BC. That is the company's own claim, but the reviews certainly suggest a crew that homeowners are happy to see pull into the driveway every year.

You Own the Lights

The biggest difference from many competitors is the business model. Instead of renting lights, Santa's Little Helpers has customers buy their lights outright. In the following years, you pay for installation labour only, which the company says significantly reduces annual costs, and existing clients get a 10 percent discount on future installs. The lights themselves are commercial-grade LEDs with a three-year warranty.

It is a model that rewards loyalty, and the reviews suggest that is what happens. One customer has used the company for about 12 years, since their kids were toddlers, and wrote that they "wouldn't trust any other company." Another said they plan to use the service every year, praising the curb appeal brought to the neighbourhood.

Custom Design and Clean Installs

Santa's Little Helpers describes itself as a team of designers, and the quote process starts with a form that returns a same-day quote with visual mockups. Clients approve the design digitally, and scheduling follows. Installation often does not require the homeowner to be home.

Reviewers talk about the finish. One said the crew did their house and bushes and "no one can see a single cord," with everything turning on from one plug and a timer, and they even lit up a path through the forest. Another described lights "tailor-made to our home." A business owner bought commercial LED lights from the company and had them installed.

Responsive Service, Even in the Rain

People who shop around tend to land here. A homeowner who sent four installation requests said the company responded first with the best price, and when it could not do their preferred dates at first, it moved things around to fit them in. A first-time customer who did their research was impressed by the quick, patient email replies to their many questions, and said two installers put up the lights in heavy rain and still did a fantastic job. Another first-time customer said the company even installed their lights sooner than originally expected.

Other reviewers describe crews who arrive when promised, with friendly and professional manners and a can-do attitude.

A Fair Look at the Other Side

Not everyone is satisfied. One reviewer said they had multiple issues with their lights over a couple of years that were not resolved, and felt the price was too high for the service. Costs will vary by home, so it is worth getting a quote and asking how repairs and warranty claims work before you sign on, particularly since your lights stay in your ownership.

Plan Ahead for the Season

The company serves Greater Vancouver and the Fraser Valley, including Langley, Surrey, and Vancouver. The office is open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and the number is (888) 897-2682. Holiday installs book up, so reaching out early is smart.

For anyone who would rather enjoy the lights than hang them, Santa's Little Helpers is a useful local service, and a good example of a Langley business that has quietly built a loyal following.
